The cat who wouldn’t give up
Vanilla Cupcake’s mom, Ellie, contacted me two years ago about her very sick cat. He was only three years old and had developed kidney disease and anemia. He was vomiting, becoming dehydrated, and losing weight. This began a series of frequent vet visits with constant pokes for rehydrating him and checking blood levels. Poor little guy was wearing down even more from all the stress.
I began by focusing directly on the kidneys: I had the sense that one kidney was doing most of the work while the other wasn’t holding up its end. I visualized his kidneys being cleansed and purified, imagining the unneeded particulate residue flowing out. Then I pictured the kidneys becoming whole, healthy, and active. I finished up by surrounding his image with a healing light.
I explained this to Ellie and encouraged her to follow her own intuition to send him loving energy. To help manage his stress around the vet visit, she also mentally prepared him in advance by sending an image of them afterwards returning home, happy and relaxed.
By now I had all sorts of nicknames for this little guy: Vanilla Bean, Pudding, Wafer. After about a week of receiving energy from me and hydration from the vet and Ellie, Nilla’s appetite improved dramatically and his playful antics returned. His weight began to increase and his kidney levels made some improvement. He continued to do well for several months, and then his health suddenly plummeted.
He had a few more episodes of serious illness, and each time the vets, Ellie, and I worked successfully to get him back on track. Finally after a year of ups and downs, his health seemed to stabilize. His kidney disease has improved dramatically and he is no longer anemic.
