The goat with weak legs
Sammy the goat had been having problems for a while. Her feet just weren't working well for her. Now it had gotten to the point where she couldn't stand on three legs when one was lifted up for hoof care. Finally her hind end was going out from underneath her just whenever she tried to walk. The vet was called and he prescribed several steroid injections but he wasn't optimistic. Nicole decided to give her a few days before deciding whether to put her down. That is when she contacted me.
It is hard to say whether I actually contributed to the outcome since the steroids were also used. Sammy tolerated the first two injections and then refused the others. If a goat with horns says “no” she means “NO”! When I checked in with her the first time, prior to the shots, she was very receptive to my energy offering. A day later she seemed not as much in need, but accepted some. This is typical in my experience. The early “treatments” when the animal is most needy are the most powerful. The third time I offered, I felt the answer was, “No thanks, I’m actually doing pretty well right now and don't need it.” When I contacted Nicole she confirmed the goat was doing much better. Since then she has received no additional steroid injections and is back to fully functioning.
